Join DHU's General Committee

Dallas Haitians United will now operate through committees that support our events, programs, and community initiatives throughout the year. Committees are designed to be low-commitment, flexible, and impact-driven, allowing members to get involved based on their availability and interests.

Committee options include:

  • Flagship Events Committee – Supports planning and execution of DHU’s recurring community events (Flag Day, Independence Day, Friendsgiving, Easter Potluck, and the DFW Diaspora Mixer).

  • Community Support Committee – Supports community-focused initiatives such as resources, workshops, partnerships, and outreach.

  • Volunteer Committee – Coordinates all volunteers and supports day-of event logistics. Individuals seeking event-based or occasional involvement fall under this committee.

Which committee(s) are you interested in?

Time commitment:Typically 1–2 meetings per month (often virtual) and support during relevant events. Participation is flexible and can scale up or down based on availability.

Applications will be reviewed by the DHU leadership team, and committee group chats will be created following board approval.
