PURPOSE OF THE GALA:
The DHU 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala, Haiti Rising: Honoring Our Legacy, Building Our Future, was an evening dedicated to celebrating Haitian culture while investing in the promise of Haiti’s next generation. The gala supported REPONSE (Réseau d'Étudiants et Professionnels Opérant pour un Nouveau Sud-Est), a nonprofit organization in Haiti focused on empowering high school seniors through career guidance, mentorship, and college readiness programs. Proceeds from the event directly funded educational access and professional preparation, helping students confidently transition from secondary school to university and beyond. Through culture, community, and collective impact, the gala honored Haiti’s legacy while actively contributing to the development of a stronger, more educated future.
We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, partners, and community members whose generosity made this impact possible.Inspired by the impact of our 2025 Gala, DHU looks ahead to expanding educational partnerships and community-driven initiatives in 2026.
